MTBS has released 449 newly mapped fires from the 2023 and 2024 fire seasons. Included are map products from 53 fires that occurred in several western states during the 2023 fire season. Initial assessments for 396 fires that occurred across CONUS during the 2024 fire season have also been released. With this product release on https://www.mtbs.gov/ and associated interactive viewer - https://www.mtbs.gov/viewer/, the total number of mapped products released by the program is now 30,032.
