MTBS has released 393 newly mapped fires from 2021 fire season for 30 CONUS states. It is the second quarterly release which adds up total 547 fires (including 154 fires from 1st quarterly release) for 2021 season. With this data release to MTBS.gov, the total number of fires mapped by the project increases to 29,926.
