MTBS 2026 Fire: Quarterly Release (July 15, 2026)

The 2026 – 3rd Quarter Release of fire extent and burn severity data. 

  • The 2026 – 3rd Quarter Release of fire extent and burn severity from the Monitoring Trends in Burn Severity (MTBS) project data have been released for 315 fires from multiple fire seasons. The total number of mapped products released by the program is now 30,928.
